Our Rotaractor of the Month program is an initiative to recognize the amazing commitment and efforts that our members show! At the end of each month (with exception of our hiatus months in December and April), a new Rotaractor is selected and featured on our website. Read below to find out about some of our awesome members.

January Rotaractor of the Month

David Graff

David joined the Rotaract Club of Ottawa in September 2019, after moving to Ottawa from Alberta to start his Master’s program at the University of Ottawa. He decided to join the club on a whim after talking with Hayley Laur, the membership director for the club. Having volunteered in Edmonton, David saw Rotaract as a good way to integrate and give back to his new community. David serves on the International Development committee and is excited for the upcoming fundraising Bonspiel event. He is enthusiastic and looks forward to connecting with Rotoractors and Rotarians at future events! Awesome work, David!

November Rotaractor of the Month

Grant McIlhargey

Grant was our Rotaractor of the Month for the month of November due to his high dedication to the club, especially in regards his service on the international committee. Great job, Grant, and thank you for all your hard work!

October Rotaractor of the Month

Izaak MacMullin

Izaak has been a member of the Rotaract Club of Ottawa since September of this year. He decided to join Rotaract after meeting our President Jacob Miller who told him about the different ways to volunteer with our club. Izaak was drawn to Rotaract because of its many opportunities for volunteering and meeting people outside of the university campus. So far, his favourite Rotaract event has been the Gatineau hike which happened in early October. He believes that he can make a difference as a Rotaractor by volunteering for good causes and he hopes to get involved in some international projects in the future. As the Rotaract Club of Ottawa Executive Team, we would like to thank Izaak for his unwavering dedication to our club and his tendency to go above and beyond. By not only attending many events and meetings but also taking on larger roles in our organization and lending a helping hand wherever needed, Izaak has become a valuable member and a friend to all of us. Keep up the good work and congratulations!
